Graffiti/ Street by T. McConville Bryant In many cities, graffiti painting is illegal. Images of graffiti can be seen in many urban areas and have decorated walls, bridges, underpasses etc. since the beginning of time. In my opinion graffiti is an ART form in its own right. Through this exhibition, I hope to show the viewer the Gift of such ART and preserve time, for these forms of art usually do not last! – T. McConville Bryant Artist Statement T. McConville Bryant has been a freelance Photographer since 2000, and she incorporates her travels with her Photography, capturing imagery from many diverse venues. Bryant has been exhibiting her photographs since 2001, including extensive exhibits throughout Virginia, and a permanent exhibit in New York City at HA! In addition, she is a resident artist at Visual Art Studio and Art Works in Richmond, Virginia. He techniques range from those of years past to current styles. T. HourTime Organic objects like leaves and stems have been included to make a connection between the 2-D painting on canvas and the dimensions of reality, resulting in a message that is left as a puzzle for viewers to see more within the art than color and technique. The title "HourTime" is a way of recognizing how fast detrimental changes to our environment, our world and our lives are taking place and what the effects could be.
The series "HourTime" is a mixture of traditional painting coupled with graphic design elements, such as words scratched into the paintings, the use of stencils and spray paint, paper or organic material that create paintings which describe the way the artist views our present world.
